You have me trained like Pavlov's dog with that theme song DJ Julie. Hope you have lots of fun this morning.

Hey there folks! brand new Kristeen just got it today :)
Avatar 3:13am
Whooda:

This Krristeen Young sounds like it draws from tons of influences, I hear techno, Blondie and newer artists that I'm too old to name.
Avatar 🦇 3:14am
Julie:

she has a new band too, hoping to have her in again!
Avatar 3:16am
Whooda:

That would be exciting for me, I can only guess how exciting that is for you Julie to host exciting acts like that. Kristeeen's Wiki cites an association with Bowie that makes sense.

Hi Julie, just wanted to let you know I'm here quietly enjoying your show :-)

Whooda she was my first musical guest..3 years ago I guess it was. and yes I'd been a fan for years so it was HUGE :) Hey there Holly!

Holly, did you finally vanquish the Abominable Ice Monster and find your way home again?
Avatar 3:25am

Whooda, I am indeed in my own home covered with my own cats :-) And it was 70F this afternoon!
Avatar 3:27am

Great news Holly, now get out there and get that garden plot ready for planting!

Seriously Julie, Reading 70 degrees was like getting a poke in the eye with a sharp stick. :)

Our big celebration today was that it got above freezing for the first time in, in, well, in a damn long time.

fred von helsing:

y'all stop whining. here's winter in Buffalo: www.facebook.com...
Avatar 3:45am
Whooda:

haha Fred. That is what struck me the most upon moving from the south to NY. It was how folks wear shorts and tee-shirts in freezing weather.
Avatar 3:50am
fred von helsing:

and in finland mostly only murrcans wear shorts. not sure why the locals aren't into them.
Avatar 3:59am
Whooda:

You proded me to find Finland on the map, what a peculiar spot in Earth's geography it is! And that name; from Wiki'"The name Finland appears on three rune-stones"
Avatar 4:11am
fred von helsing:

it really is far north. i'm in hellsinki in the south and it's the same latitude as juneau.

is part of his appeal the word "cave" ?
  4:30am
Meghan:

Oh, FVH I've been thinking about your winter in Buffalo comparison.... Here is why we are complaining about it here- Buffalo they expect a harsh winter. They get what they need to take care of the snow. My aunt, uncle, and grandparents live/d in Jamestown, NY., so I've experienced those winters. Here they give us the excuse they didn't buy enough salt and not do anything. They have not removed or fixed the situation.
  4:31am
Meghan:

As for Nick Cave appeal, look at when he was younger..... And also keep in mind the appeal of Steve Buscemi.
Avatar 🦇 4:34am
Julie:

Now Steve Buscemi I get! I don't know why!
Avatar 4:39am

Physical appeal of Steve Buscemi; that is a head scratcher to me.

Guten TZAG everyone!
Hi Julie!
Avatar 5:03am
fred von helsing:

The water from the lake [Chatauqua] drains to the south, emptying first into the Chadakoin River in Jamestown, New York before traveling east into the Conewango Creek. The creek flows south, entering the Allegheny River in Warren, Pennsylvania and the Ohio River in Pittsburgh, instead of moving north into the Great Lakes."
Avatar 5:03am
fred von helsing:

"The Chautauqua Lake Watershed has likely been inhabited for 10,000-12,000 years."

As Pet Sounds is either no. 1 or 2 on most important lists of Greatest Albums of all times. From Wiki, ". . . Wilson found Rubber Soul broke the mold with a consistent thread of greatness. Inspired, he rushed to his wife and proclaimed, "Marilyn, I'm gonna make the greatest album! The greatest rock album ever made!""
