knoop, great stuff, thank you. greetings from gothenburg, sweden
Avatar 3:42pm
Caryn:

@Kurt: that is delightful. When the manakin goes up to the female and basically moonwalks towards her while shaking his ass is pretty funny too. The manakin has great moves. Whenever it slides out of view and then suddenly slides back into view, I chortle. Reminds me of the Ministry of Silly Walks.

Oh ! - Caryn's got that 'James Brown' bird for a 'tar !
Avatar 3:51pm
Caryn:

@common: in the Ministry of Silly Walks, when they cut to the grainy sepia film of silly walks, there's one guy who takes long strides forward, stops, and then takes a bunch of tiny quick hops back out of frame. Basically, 0:42-45 of the manakin bird is 2:35-2:38 of: www.youtube.com...

@RRN63: I'm just back from a performance with action painting under black light, with live electronic music. It certainly felt like a jump into the past. But surprisingly good

I don't know what scallions are for. For if I run out of onions? Or I don't want to use half an onion since, and well, what do I do with the other half? Stink up my fridge while it dries out all week.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:13pm

Kiurt: scallion talk, OK. What would be bad would LOGORRHEA: pathologically excessive and often incoherent talkativeness or wordiness that is characteristic especially of the manic phase of bipolar disorder

We always ate scallions straight from the garden--the white part. I recently learned that other people only eat the green part. MIND. BLOWN.

I think the only remaining qualification for "Classic Rock" is it was released originally on physical media.

If it was first released on 8-track, it's *classic* classic rock!

P-90:

@"Classic Rock": I've noticed that a LOT of music lovers under age 30 say they like/love "classic rock", and they find the term itself humorous because older folks (i.e. their parents, teachers, etc.) do seem to know, even generally agree on, what it means, but no one can explain it exactly; it's an "I know it when I see it", case-by-case kind of identifier
  5:55pm
