Meghan, there's the rub. it was after 5 pm and i went upstairs and saw like four younger people (not that they are all that way to me) whom i did recognize sitting around the round table in the volunteer. i asked them to drop it off and they seemed actively disinterested.
However i did see both Chris and Scot on way out and they might have more info. In any event it would be easy to run off another, which i was going to do anyway, since i saw it as a keeper.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:15am
Meghan:

yeah.... that is sooooo not helpful! They were most likely drunk or on their way to getting drunk. I don't know if I will find it, to be honest.....

@Meghan: Don't you think artists out promo-ing quickly figure out whether you're really knowledgeable and enthusiastic about their stuff, and will relax and warm up to you if they find you're for real? I heard this as a perfect example, he was happy to go on in as much depth as you would ask him to because he wasn't with some schmoe going through the motions

P-90:

@Meghan: I see what you mean, one can easily be starstruck & a little tongue-tied, like the old Chris Farley SNL routine, and the artist just withdraws from that. A pretty famous guitarist once said to me that the same thing happened to him a couple of times when he would meet revered older American blues players in London, "one ends up just speaking in breathless generalities." But if a journalist prepares those questions carefully, like you say, that grounds the interview and allows a real exchange.
