Oh my gawd the Goblin was amazing! Mr CP went to Chicago last month too and he said the Cincinnati set was totally different and with a few different players. Their bass player was named Fabio.

we're having a synth-meet up next week after a lecture presented on Varese. I only have a Micro-Korg but I do have a loud monitor. we're gonna get insane.
Avatar 👻 4:31pm

The microKorg is a sturdy little beast. Like the MS2000B, once you get past all the disco factory patches & start twiddlin' it can get fun...

Just got an Arturia MicroBrute. Should be fun.

Avatar 4:35pm

A month or so ago I went to the Mostly Modular Trade Association synth show here in Seattle. I assure you this stuff is only getting more interesting with technology advances, but the only ones who know how to build 'em are gettin' older.

A past bandmate had a Korg Triton that seemed pretty cool to me, but the best one I saw had a roller wheel on the left hand side for serious note-bending.

On another note, Clay Pigeon last week apparently aired chats with various FMU DJs. I missed it & will have to check out the archive. Best thing about Dusty Show via archive is I can skip the music! Heh.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:54pm
Parq:

I saw him speak when he came to New York in 1990 and spoke on the City Hall steps. I was so far back in the crowd that I had to listen to the radio broadcast on my Walkman to hear him. But damn, even at that distance, his presence was electric. I have often compared it to what it must have been like to see Lincoln or Gandhi in person.
Avatar 5:55pm
Night Al:

I'm surprised Clay never plays music from his old Florida band, Deloris Telescope. They were very popular in Florida and the Tampa Bay area back in the day.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:55pm

And damn, just thinking about all there will be to read on the subject in the next few weeks is daunting.

@Night Al, not sure, but that might be against the station rules due to conflict of interest. I think. Maybe.
