If Neuromancer leaves you cold, try The Shockwave Rider by John Brunner. It was 1975, WAY earlier than Gibson, but it feels less dated. He did it all in that book, back in the Stone Age.

I think you can use Google Voice to transcribe. There's some Google app that can be used to transcribe.

Google adding that "search Google Images" option in Chrome is a HUGE time saver.
