- but I Subscribe to this Podcast anyhow
- as, frankly, I consider this Program a Keeper !...

Words are overrated. Lyrics make a song about one thing. Voice overs are for Top 40 shlock jocks. Great idea, great show.

I suppose you could talk over some a capella soul music, but I don't know if such a thing exists.
  8:22pm
Martin:

I'm so used to the talking 1/2 way through the song... This ia really amazing... Thanks, Fine Wine!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:22pm
Mr. Fine Wine:

Wow, it's taking a real effort not to talk over these!

Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

I'm continually staggered by what this Program offers - practically an alternative & forgotten - perhaps to some extent never fully acknowledged - History of American Music - in terms of the Culture @ Large anyhow. Perhaps that's under-informed & hyperbolic - but I hope I'm allowed my point. I certainly don't hear this elsewhere...

...can finewine sing? Carryeth thee tune?

Martin:

I take a lot of things for granted. This show is not one of them.

No singing shall be forthcoming. Revolution Rabbit Nov63: The "rock histories" I read as a young man are missing all of this stuff.....It's criminal.

Great show so far! Finally listened to last week's show a couple days ago and was pleasantly surprised by the mambo stuff.

Lovers of Fine Wine in CT:

What? Listeners who complain of hearing Mr. Fine Wine speak over instrumentals?! Forsooth! Silly complaining listeners.

Santos L Halper:

Howdy Mr. Fine Wine! My first registered post on these boards; had to be on my gateway show, the always excellent Downtown Soulville! Revisited the TuneIn app last spring at the urging of a pal, and yours was one of the first featured FMU shows on there. Immediately hooked, and your show became my go-to pool party soundtrack. Soon expanded to the rest of the FMUniverse, natch.

Warm down in these parts, though we're past that season by now of course. Cannonball!

@Santos - If you pledge to WFMU, don't use a phony credit card!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:43pm
Santos L Halper:

Now to figure out this pledge thingy; thanks for the tip KFHP. I already maxed that one out.
