Thank you KP!!

And hello again, amEdeo and amEdeans!

Is the cookie place next to an art/framing shop?

If so, I totally avoid that guy too when I'm up there.

Did Hilly Kristal have a stroke?

Lou "Metal Machine Twist" Reed

KP:

It would have been good if the same actor played Tom Verlaine and Richard Lloyd.
Avatar 3:12am
Jay/London:

good Morning amEdeo have taking the day off so can get you live
Avatar 3:13am
Matt from Springfield:

You CommitteeDummies!!

Crowdsourced, movie written entirely by drunk Reddit commenters from 3-5 am.
Avatar 3:16am
BadGuyZero:

"You Committee Dummies" sounds like it would be the title of a crowdsourced Moe Howard biopic.
Avatar 3:18am
BadGuyZero:

amEdeo's Ministry of Misinformation
Avatar 3:20am
Matt from Springfield:

Good night Therese!

@BGZ: A *serious* biopic written by committee, complete w/ a fawning commentary track by Johnny Knoxville. "Moe was the original AUTEUR, man. All of my stuff has been influenced through Moe, and the Howard Brothers..."
Avatar 3:23am
BadGuyZero:

I was really hoping that this was from that Klaus Kinski as Jesus thing.

Rhymey Deutsch tragedy, nice!

Now I am intrigued to see this train wreck of a film! or maybe not. Hi amEdeo!

Good MORNING MfS, BGZ, KP, J/L, JG, JB, !IXK!, I hope you are all doing delightfully delighted!
Avatar 3:30am
Matt from Springfield:

Delightfully Delighted! No work to-morrow!
  3:31am
KP:

Besides seeing the CBGBs set and actors in Savannah, I went to the punk rock exhibition at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. That featured a supposed recreation the infamous CBGBs bathroom. It looked nothing like it. You could see the walls. You could tell the floor from the ceiling. Totally bogus,
Avatar 3:33am
amEdeo:

WOo! Party all night! Sleep all day!
Yeah, I honestly cannot STRESS ENOUGH how TERRIBLE that movie was. DON'T SEE IT!!!
Avatar 3:33am
Matt from Springfield:

And to top it off...THIS program, "amEdeo with amEdeo" is now added to my FAVORITES!!!

My favorite shows list is pretty small, because so very many WFMU shows are wonderful and excellent--but I determine my faves based on which ones I catch up on every week. Since I've been listening to this Archive pretty much every Monday for a while, welcome to Club Matt!

amEdeo:

Wheeee! Thank you, Matt! You have been an A+ supporter since very very early on. I really appreciate it. LIKE REALLY REALLY!!
  3:35am
KP:

The movie was shot outside Paula Deen's restaurant. I think she plays Debbie Harry.
Avatar 3:35am

I!ve been having a redonckulous time
Avatar 3:36am
Matt from Springfield:

The effort is all yours, the pleasure is all mine! :D

I'd see that movie if sufficiently drunk, I love the taste of film failures in the morning...unless "nothing" happens. That's the only kind of awful movie I consider *truly* awful. (Early Arnold movie "Stay Hungry", 1976, etc...)
Avatar 3:37am
! I X Key !:

"Battlefield Earth" WORST MOVIE
Avatar 3:38am
Matt from Springfield:

A redonckulous time is guaranteed for all, I X!
(And yes, "Battlefield Earth" doesn't have much happening, all while taking itself WAY too seriously. Like any serious at all...)

@KP: I've had an idea for a thematic performance artist, "Howard Deen"--looks like Howard Dean, but takes Paula Deen quotes and screams them like Howard! dYAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!
Avatar 3:39am
! I X Key !:

This show has been in my "Moving Black & White" things so much
Avatar 3:40am
Matt from Springfield:

Paula Deen should play Debbie Harry playing in "Hairspray"!
Avatar 3:41am
amEdeo:

Yeah, I mean, *technically* things happen in the CBGBs movie, but it's so very little stretched over so much film that it barely feels like anything is happening.
Avatar 3:41am
Matt from Springfield:

Yoko + a POB! This piece goes well with the GIFs!
@amEdeo: Where are tonight's GIFs from, horror silent movies I presume?
Avatar 3:47am
amEdeo:

Both the GIFs are from "The Man Who Laughs" which is a silent swashbuckler film with some touches of horror (the main character's face is disfigured in a permanent smile). Also happens to be the visual inspiration for the Batman villain The Joker! Really enjoyed it when I saw it a few years ago.

This is some great music to write your PHD thesis to. True story. (is The Fall's Telephone Thing coming next?)
Avatar 4:29am
amEdeo:

OoOOOO! What's the PHD in?
  4:31am
Matheus:

it's in analytic philosophy (more specifically in contemporary metaphysics: completely abstract thought-experiments totally unrelated to anything that makes life fun)

Good point, BGZ. Maybe we can get some back mounted chairs for people to sit upon.
Avatar 5:52am
nah:

Thoroughly enjoying this Erlkönig omnibus
Avatar 5:55am
amEdeo:

Delighted to hear it, nah. I have way too many to play today, but maybe they'll resurface sometime in the future. The Erlkönig has a way of creeping back into things when you least expect it.
  5:58am
Matheus:

thanks for the great show, amEdeo. just finished writing everything I had to. maybe I should reference your show on the bibliography?
