Street interviews, listener call-ins, vinyl gluttery, sporadic normalcy, original floperas and fiktion, blatant talking over songs, politix, tenderness, and a vague undercurrent of angst. Right up your alley!

I hope you enjoyed this episode of the Dusty Show. I struggled with it. It was one of those weeks where I tried to go out and interview people, on two occassions. But I couldn't find it. Couldn't feel it. So I made the Paul Smith thing and wished I'd had three more nights to do an hour of it. The Robot segment was a story I wrote quickly a few weeks ago, then I let my computer read it. A cheap gimmick, admittedly, and it meandered and lost its way. But, I tried. Fab's always great. I love when you guys call in. It helps. Wish I could do an 18-hour music show. Man that would be so great. Always Remember .... PS

there is a combination of blandness and pretension that turns me off to Sting. Some police songs are great.

Wow. For once I'm with Clay Pigeon and not Fabio. How about that? I always liked "Synchronicity." As a teen, I found my way from there to Siouxsie to a whole world of alt rock and then eventually to FMU.

Night Al:

I held the stage door for Sting at the Tampa Ampitheater a few years back. Before he went in he ran over to the gate and shmoozed with some fans standing there. He probably isn't as big a douche as one might think.

I was so high on acid and speed when I saw Skynyrd at the 'Rock Superbowl' at the Orange Bowl around 1980, I have foggy memories of the whole day. I remember tripping that Skynyrd was the nucleus of the huge cell we were all a part of...morphing colors and sound.

I art directed Skynyrd's concert merch for many years and I always took the Confederate flag out as much as possible. I think one year it did not appear on a single item. I heard that this year the band announced that they were not going to use it any longer.
