...speaking of Timothy Leary, I just remembered I had a dream last night that my wife and I ate acid and transformed into a sort of ape zombie and went on a rampage of the town. Then we turned back to normal and no one knew it was us.

Mike, thank you for that hint! This version by Nilsson kicks so very much! ♫♪♫

right on! That whole album is pretty decent. I'm going to my buddy's house to listen to records tomorrow, I think I'll bring that one.

...if the FlowerpotMen are majorly impersonating the Byrds it doesn't keep me from ☆ing it!...
  9:11am duff:

Never heard of the Flowerpot Men, very Byrdsy.
Avatar 9:14am tomB:

didn't realize that Flowerpot Men could emulate Beck & his bolero
  9:26am duff:

The Byrds still sound incredible all these years later.

Asha Puthli vocal on Ornette track, around the same time she was staring in weird/wonderful Merchant Ivory movie Savages. what a time

Been enjoying this show today... Bob always delivers.

Strange though -- I guess I'm at that cynical age -- but whenever I hear more than two tracks by the same artist or band in a row on the radio, my first thought is, unfortunately, "What the hell happened? Who died?" I wish I could control that damn morbid thought sequence.
