Favoriting Seven Second Delay with Andy and Ken: Playlist from May 15, 2013 Favoriting

The program formerly known as Dinner at Andy's, The Fuzzy Glove Hour, Whores, and The Happiness Hut. Ken and Andy, also known as The Enema Boys, further lower WFMU's already abysmal standards on a weekly basis. Stunt radio which subjects the radio audience to concepts and topics which mature adults should not have to endure. Find the fatal flaw. (Visit homepage.)

So are you guys ever going live again?
Avatar 6:03pm

definitely nashville skyline.
  6:04pm
Robert:

Yay, right playlist page this time!
  6:04pm
Robert:

Sounds like they're hiding in the bathroom beforehand.
Avatar 6:04pm
amEdeo:

Solid idea!
Avatar 🚂 Swag For Life Member 6:05pm
Ken:

Carmichael - We're live a lot! Do you mean whether we're going to do live shows from a theater? That I dont know.
Avatar 6:05pm
BadGuyZero:

What kind of voice modulation are they using?
  6:06pm
Ken:

I had to boost levels to compensate for Andy's terrible microphone technique.
  6:07pm
Robert:

Andy's crash pad sounded like bare walls & floor; at this point I think they've moved into a corridor.
  6:09pm
Robert:

So the reverb was just from your audio manipul'n, Ken?
Avatar 6:09pm
Danne D:

Andy. On public transportation? Like with actual public people?
Avatar 6:10pm
Danne D:

It'd be great if a station full of people with the "Give me my $2" SSD shirts were there
  6:10pm
Robert:

You chose the L because you were ducking all the audience who would intercept you on the 1 after your anmt last week.
  6:11pm
Robert:

Danne, that's what I thought Clay Pigeon was going to pass out to people to defend his turf at Wash. Sq. Pk.
Avatar 6:11pm
Green Mountain Man Mark:

We have like, 3-4 of those $2 shirts for some reason. Never wear them.

LOL Robert
Avatar 6:12pm

I should've worn my shirt when I saw Ken and Andy do their comedy statndups.
  6:13pm
Robert:

You can put the curses here in the comments, Ken.
  6:13pm
Robert:

Hey, wait...Andy's supposed to do the insults while Ken is straight. Are they doing this just to see if we'll notice?
Avatar 6:17pm
Ange:

"I'm not afraid of being arrested. I'm afraid of being lynched." -- Andy
Avatar 6:17pm
BadGuyZero:

At the first comic shop I worked at we had a regular we called "The Comic Molester" due to how he would handle back issues. He would hold them like he was holding the most delicate item ever created. He would gently slide the comic from its protective bag, open to the center pages and then lean down and deeply inhale. It was extremely creepy. I think he was trying to sniff for hints that the comic had been restored, but boy...what a show he put on.

Monica:

right after the train doors close, you gotta use the classic "ladies and gentlemen, it's SHOWTIME!" then break out the boombox and bust a move!
  6:20pm
Robert:

Ken, you trusted Andy with recording equipment? And you let him out of your sight, not suspecting he'd bring in the shills?
  6:20pm
MrFab:

Sorry Andy, they really did sell "I'm With Stupid" shirts along with shirts that said simply "Stupid." Years ago.
  6:21pm
Reno:

Stalling! Stalling! Stop being chicken, and talk to people!
Avatar 6:21pm
amEdeo:

Monica is right, that is how all the pros do it.
  6:21pm
dale:

i think getting arrested would make a good show, but someone would have to volunteer to put a recording device in their body cavity
  6:22pm
Robert:

A few yrs. ago I was really desperate and tried begging for a small amt. of money for drugs -- cardiac drugs for my heart disease -- in front of Rite Aid.
Avatar 6:23pm
madman:

good luck ken and andy
Avatar 6:23pm
Monica:

i doubt think they'll make it to third ave.
  6:24pm

i was going to ask which one would urinate in the subway?
  6:26pm
dale:

i vomited between cars once. but it was the early 80's so it was expected
  6:29pm
Robert:

"You're running out the clock, Ken; you're falling on the ball!"
Avatar 6:29pm
Danne D:

Kilo? Give that dog a drug test.
Avatar 6:30pm
Danne D:

:(
Avatar 6:30pm
Ange:

omg, this is so uncomfortable
Avatar 6:30pm
Danne D:

The punchline would be Andy taking in a bunch of these homeless folks in.
  6:30pm
common:

it's always uncomfortable.
Avatar 6:31pm
Danne D:

wait this girl is Pitbull's girlfriend?
Avatar 6:32pm
ange:

Andy asked the homeless girl for 10 cents change!!
  6:33pm
Robert:

So Ken's saying this AM that one of them did a lot better than the other was a clever way of saying Andy did good like this...aw....
  6:34pm
dale:

he can parlay that dime into 15 cents
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:34pm
Mutant:

I think the fatal flaw is that there will be a millionaire begging for money
Avatar 6:35pm
Carmichael:

Back yet again. Yes Ken, I meant in a theater in front of people. I am aware of you actually being alive.
  6:37pm
common:

the original taking of pelham 1,2,3 is so good!
Avatar 6:38pm
Monica:

L train's easy. they'd bomb on the 7 train.
  6:40pm
Robert:

Andy's the one who's supposed to lose the will to live. Strong spirits here causing role reversal.

Uh-oh...last time one of them brought up the possibility of a catastrophe's intervening before air, it turned out to be 9/11/01.
  6:41pm
dale:

did they dress homeless? like in some abercrombie and fitch?
  6:44pm
common:

who came up with this idea?
Avatar 6:44pm
Danne D:

This is like the nicest Andy's ever been I think.

YES! Sorta
  6:45pm

  6:46pm
Robert:

Darn! Con Ed's working in the area, and power went off here for a sec., and the computer that's configured to stream audio is a cranky one that needs 10 mins. rest before rebooting from a power-off. What am I missing?

where's the peanut M&M's?
  6:47pm

ken sounds noivous! i couldn't do it.
  6:47pm

45 minutes of buildup and very little bumming - a real let down. did they even wear fingerless gloves and have possessions in a handkerchief on a stick?
Avatar 6:47pm

Man I love this show. I just love it. Social sunburn has a new remedy: the Ken & Andy balming lotion.
Avatar 6:48pm

I thought I heard Andy's ride home in the background. It might have just been a regular siren though.

How sweet, she actually wanted to give Andy the 20 cents :)
  6:59pm
Robert:

Even though I missed the 10 mins. of actual begging (power failure, I hope I can coax Frankenputer to access the archive without powering off, or that I have Spare configured with the plug-ins for Linux), this was the best 7SD in a long time. It had everything -- pathos, comedy, heart-warming beggar helping, a dog, moving around while recording....
Avatar 7:00pm
Carmichael:

And don't forget Andy communicating uncomfortably with people.
  7:02pm
Robert:

People of WFMU, think about this: Annually you beg for money to sustain your hobby and the entertainment of lazy types like myself, but here were two of your number begging FOR THE HELL OF IT! Now let's see your effort next time.
  6:24pm
Heather:

I've listened to 7SD since the 90s, and I think this is my favorite show of all time. I love the way the usually people-hating Andy warms to the girl begging on the street. Ken put this show together nicely, too.
  3:12pm
Marie:

Hi you guys. This was a great show. And you've opened up whole new arenas! How about going out to Coney Island and having the crowd determine which one of you will be the freak.
i love the show (and you two).
