@G: Yes...now I'm suffering the after effects of three hours of trying to sound relaxed while furiously concentrating on brand new tasks. But it's all good. I had a really good time.

Several early versions of "I Who Hv Nothing" but it's obvious now who Tom Jones cribbed from.

Have the Fuller Bros. been on any Atomic Bomb comp? Mr. Fine Wine, this is your chance!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:42pm
Mr. Fine Wine:

As long as your nerves aren't so jangled that "give a crap" becomes, uh, more literal...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:42pm
Mr. Fine Wine:

tomB: Don't know said comps.

@Revolution R. I caught the similarity of Doris Troy's song to Dusty as well. I believe Doris was doing b/ups in England during the 60s, so I'm thinking that Dusty picked the right voice to appropriate (but I mean that in a good way).
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:46pm
Uncle Michael:

performers are right

...I said on efd's show other nite, 'how can FMU play so much great New Stuff - & the rest of the Workd get it so Wrong??" (efd plays stuff from whatever year actually)
- & it's true of the Vintage here too: how many times do we hear the same 'oldies' - & here you present astonishing stuff I've never heard of - whatsoever (I admit)...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:59pm
Uncle Michael:

I just have always tried to make radio I'd want to hear. I want to be surprised...astonished...tickled. Not everyone does. A lot of people are discomfited by the unfamiliar. Getting to do it for WFMU is sucj a treat.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:59pm
Uncle Michael:

Thanks for the soul, MFW!
