Something went flaky with the internet connection feeding our primary streaming server. I've switched the DNS record to point people at the backup... and the change should've taken effect by now. So if your stream sounds bad, try reconnecting now.

You can temporarily revive your old 8 tracks and cassettes by carefully baking them in a convection oven at very low temp. You can then safely transfer the data to another format. I've done it several times.

Do NOT use a conventional oven.

Carm, are you going to start a cassette-only label called "baked tapes"?

Erm, what version is this in fact because orchestration is different to version I have. This one is bloody brilliant!!!!!!!

Maybe 15 years ago I was at a party and said "Sparks" at the exact moment a song came on and a random guy next to me leaned over and said "That's amazing! You recogized them in 3 notes!"

I didn't have the heart to tell him I was talking about the caffeinated malt beverage. And that is how I learned about the band :/

Avatar 4:47pm

they were loved/reviled in Australia in the 70s. But they were one of the first bands (along with Sherbet, AC/DC) to really be huge down there with original material and really embrace their Australian-ness.

OK, back from kung fu-ing some people in a meeting. 2nd the 10cc for lyric wittiness. Richard Thompson is also quite clever with the double entendre.

This reminds me of an interview that Kurt Vonnegut gave at my school in which he talked about his life as a Saab dealer, which is where I found out that Saab is an acronym for Svenska Aeroplan Aktiebolaget (I had to look up the spelling just now).
