Hope you...how you say..."dug?"...the Twilight Zone Marathon this year!
1:09pm
Mike East:
@Greg from Bloomfield, I don't have cable anymore, but I remember the marathon from so many years past on NYE, so I made my own using Netflix streaming this year. Gotta keep tradition alive. No commercials are an added benefit.
1:12pm
Greg from Bloomfield:
I do the exact same thing! Manual Marathon!!!
1:13pm
Andy in Berlin:
Ernest T. Bass!
1:13pm
fred:
@Mike East: so how's that Laphroaig you got for Xmas?
1:15pm
Brez Wo Hop Sing Ting:
Now that the holiday festivities are over, thoughts may turn to the WFMU Marathon, some weeks hence. And who among us wouldn't want a Rex marathon premium consisting of pure, delicious Chop Suey Rock?! I sure would! If you're similarly inclined, don't keep it to yourself -- join my humble campaign for a Fool's Paradise Chop Suey Rock Marathon Premium!!
1:17pm
Andy in Berlin:
Hey Rex, have you got Bla Bla Bla Cha Cha Cha by Titus Turner?
1:18pm
Mike East:
@fred: soooo good. Its taking a lot of will power to not make every night a "special occasion"
1:24pm
fred:
@Mike East: I understand. I'm using the nearing marathon as a bulwark myself. Because once my stash runs out, I'll be really eager to replenish it

the ayatollah of being bin loaded:
I have never wanted to shoot up any drugs after drinking. But have thought about taking a gun and shooting my own arm after a many days long haul alcohol fueled tired binge.
1:39pm
Mike E. Flood:
I totally forgot about the #%@!^ Marathon! Thanks Greg we gotta hunt up some of the faves.
1:44pm
Joe Non Papa:
I have at least four Rex Marathon CDs. They never disappoint! (My fave is the Chicken Wing.)
1:52pm
Mailman Tom:
"You ain't seen the las' of Ernest T. Bass"!
1:56pm
the ayatollah of being bin loaded:
Question is when wanting to shoot your own arm after a fuel days haul of alcohol. Hold your arm out and shoot from under or above. Shoot up or down. Dilemma.
1:57pm
Dave in PA:
'Sandy & The Power Outage' - cool band name?
1:57pm
fred:
@Joe Non Papa: That was a good one, but I still prefer the Winos On Parade one, with it's PSA/ads for booze.
1:59pm
Brez Wo Hop Sing Ting:
Agreed! Rex Marathon premiums always kick ass. Has there been a bad one? No. And just think how tasty would be a Chop Suey Rock premium!!
2:03pm
the ayatollah of being bin loaded:
If the bullets are heroin laced it is especially important that you aim at a vein.
2:06pm
Mailman Tom:
I second that Chop Suey Rock suggestion, just as long as there's some Hot Sake in the mix.
Swell show so far, but I think I'd bettr get my day started.
2:11pm
the ayatollah of being bin loaded:
I am right handed. That means I would need to shoot my left arm. Imagine if I pulled the shoot your arm with heroin bullets stunt then went to the emergency room complaining of left arm pain. And told them that I heard that left arm pain is a symptom of a heart attack. That is why I came to the ER.
2:15pm
Greg from Bloomfield:
This reminds me of "Mechanical Man"...
2:15pm
David in ATL from NJ:
Was that Popeye or the Macho Man?
2:29pm
Mailman Tom:
We had a squirrel invasion too, and I bought a squirrel trap which let me capture one after another of those tree rats. I put the trap containing the critters in my car and drove them to a road in the country with the name of Grey Squirrel Road, and released them there. Poetic justice!
2:41pm
Renfro:
How many records were popped out of this same cookie cutter ?
2:45pm
the ayatollah of being bin loaded:
If you use a have a heart trap you can collect the animals and it makes it easier to shoot them. Right in the trap.
2:46pm
Jay Hunt:
Glad to hear you're still playing Mad Daddy stuff Rex. Hang loose Mother Goose.
2:48pm
Toddophonic:
I will play Part 2 of The Blabbermouth Monkey when I fill-in for Dave The Spazz this Thursday!
2:52pm
Reeshard:
Another fat-marbled 2 hour slice of audio perfection. Thanks, Rex. See you next time.
2:56pm
Listener Jumpy in Brooklyn:

Bill Kennedy, leader of the Twiliters, was stationed in Germany in the late 50s and heard - and liked! - some English rock n roll. He covered "Move It" and "Shakin' all Over".
