I was at Irving Plaza. I was there for Rev Horton Heat and X. But they had the screen down advertising other shows. I thought hey! Julie opens with them!

Yep..and that's not helping me get them here to play :P I did see them about the same time last year though. How was X? Sounds like a great show

Matt the hall is lined with all kinds of crazy people, somehow she ended up next to that one, and the other half of that photo is a sleestak (or however you spell that)
  4:56am
Matt from Springfield:

It's one of my fave oil paintings I've seen there. And yes, the sleestak in the ditypch is really what makes it!
Avatar 🦇 4:57am
Julie:

That and the johnny muller gallery are always the highlights of the tour
  4:58am
Matt from Springfield:

Did listener/caller Johnny Muller put together some paintings for FMU?

Oh he sends Frangry a drawing every week
  5:01am
Matt from Springfield:

Well I of course would've prefered a fade in to "Any Colour You Like" followed by "Brain Damage", but if you're not playing the next track, I like how you played a few secs, then faded down. It's a better, natural feel then just switching to another song.
  5:01am
Matt from Springfield:

Wow, gotta admire Johnny's dedication!
  5:02am
sweet cheri:

g'morning & happy holidays julie,i'm listening to the show this morning,,i love it! btw do you have a favorite holiday tune? i really love "silent night"!

Deathasaurus Timothy:

I live near London and would be happy to give The Stargazer Lilies shelter. I'm in a band playing in London so gig sharing / swapping could be arranged. Just a thought.
  5:10am
Matt from Springfield:

Not that *I*, of all people would protest such a tranquil block! :)
Like Robin Guthrie/Harold Budd! Now you're talkin'!

Cool, I'll check out the SUW FB and see.
  5:11am
sweet cheri:

well i'll see you next week julie, hopefuly i'll be here a little earlier see you then!
  5:17am
Matt from Springfield:

Air!! They're awesome, and this is a rare outright lead vocal from them. Most are instrumental.
Avatar 🦇 5:19am
Julie:

I thought perhaps it was a different Air? I'm not sure, they're kind of new to me.
  5:24am
Matt from Springfield:

Nope, it is the same French band Air! Talkie Walkie has been quite acclaimed. "Rob Sheffield of Rolling Stone called the album "excellent" and commented that Air "return to what they do best: elegantly moody soundtrack music for imaginary films." " I love it when bands score for imaginary films!
  5:26am
Matt from Springfield:

There's even a Wiki page for "Cherry Blossom Girl"

I think I ran into that Cherry Blossom Girl at a GG Allin show in the 80's, is she from Staten Island?
Avatar 🦇 5:36am
Julie:

I think she is actually. A friend I know from elsewhere went to high school with her. She's very tall.
  5:38am
Matt from Springfield:

Cool, it seems you've met Terre long before her "fame" here! And she is a rare DJ who plays (some) GG Allin on the radio today!
