tomB:

has the fmu site gone wack or is it just mine. The only way I could get to Mike's playlist was thru the program schedule
  11:04am
Mike East:

got an oversized package notice in the mail yesterday, but have yet to pickup from the PO. Hoping its my long awaited swag and that I'll be rocking to Superhits of the '70's soon!
  11:05am
Mike East:

I got here by normal means, tomB
  11:09am
Myron Feld:

My Shazam app identified the Jay Sherman-Godfrey song as "Love is Noise" by The Verve. Which one has the kinescope??
Avatar 11:10am
Michael:

You kids with your aps!

I'm cell phone free - since '64!
  11:11am
SeanT:

Wow, Jay gets screwed out of another royalty check!
  11:12am
Myron Feld:

No wonder you don't return my texts.
  11:32am
Mike East:

heheh. I was singing this Jeff Bridges song this week because of you Mr. Shelley. #1 hit for sure.
  11:35am
seang:

the chorus has a little of Baby Lee in it
  11:43am
drr:

One bad apple DOES spoil the whole bunch. I think they release ethanol, but I might be confused.
  11:45am
drr:

No, ethanol is what I like. Ethylene is the ripening agent. Would also make a nice name for a girl.
  11:49am
Mike East:

I'm gettin' me a teeny baby in about 2 1/2 months. So excited. We'll have him/her for Xmas this year!!
  11:53am
Peter:

"Ethylene" is the name of a John Hiatt song. On the "Walk On" album.
  12:03pm
seang:

that "Walk On" album rules

I knew old music was better than new music!

John Hiatt - great example of music I listen to at home & almost never play on the air
  12:16pm
Marc:

Michael, what about the kids that wear their pajama pants in public? I hate seeing that. i mean get dressed.
  12:19pm
Mike East:

@Marc - that bugs me, too. we let our 7 yr old pretty much pick her own style, but draw the line at pajamas in public...unless it happens to be "Wear Pajamas to School Day" or some crap like that.
  12:21pm
Marc:

is there such a day?? LOL... That is crap.
Avatar 12:21pm
Michael:

The SWEATPANTS drive me crazy - they're just not real clothes - get some jeans you kids!
  12:23pm
Mike East:

never ceases to amaze me - "Crazy Sock Day" - "Silly Shirt Day" - Ugh - just teach my kid math and how to read, please.
  12:25pm
jmd:

Feet! Neat! Thanks.
  12:29pm
drr:

Whoa, Meat Man!!!!
  12:32pm
Marc:

@Michael. i agree with that... What about these young guys who wear flip flops in February when its 35 degrees.
  12:33pm
drr:

"I got a Maytag tongue with a sensitive taster" is one of the more eloquent lyrics associated with Mr. Lewis' oeuvre.
  12:33pm
Marc:

@Mike East I dont remember any of those silly days when i was in school.
  12:35pm
Mike East:

times have changed, Marc...not all for the better.
  12:38pm
JSG:

Is this Micheal Shelley or Paul Harvey?
  12:39pm
Mike East:

I'll wear a hat sometimes, but always take it off when I go inside, because that's what I was taught. There is, however, a young man who works with me that seems to wear a different hat everyday and does not remove it. My other coworkers and I were trying to come up with a job title for him; I suggested Hat Manager or Fedora Supervisor.
  12:39pm
Gretchen:

Michael, nothing would make me happier than if you could convince Malcolm to wear jeans. He will only wear nylon sweatpants. I don't even know where he got his first pair, but he is as adamant in his taste as you are in yours. Every classic Levi's variation has been flatly refused, and remains unworn in his drawer.
It is a lovely thing that your daughter shares her mother's good taste in clothing.
  12:46pm
ChooChoo - ATL:

I've been trying to remember my fashion sense, Age 12 and cannot. Maybe "Surfer Shirt," a pullover plaid shirt with four buttons, no collar? -- I do remember being 14 (1970) and wanting to be James Taylor: blue jeans and work shirts.
  12:48pm
ChooChoo - ATL:

The Monkees were a big influence back in the day. I had a buddy who was fashion forward. Wide belts were happenin' then.
  12:48pm
Mike East:

Michael - article regarding "Ripe Now" avocados

  12:51pm
drr:

Beezer, I guess a Maytag tongue is a tongue that is as thorough as a dishwasher.
  12:57pm
rob S:

Gary Paxton?
  12:57pm
ChooChoo - ATL:

@ted: "Does Todd have to scream so much?" That is the "O-PHONIC" part.
Avatar 1:04pm

yes - paxton - thanks!
