Dikanda

The dynamic and compelling band Dikanda hails from Szczecin, a Baltic port city in Poland. But while Polish roots are part of Dikanda's musical mix, so are traditions from across Eastern Europe and even Asia.

The group sings in several languages - including an imaginary idiom sprung from accordionist / singer Anna Witczak's fertile imagination. Dikanda has won a slew of awards in Poland and the band has performed around the world. Including, now, in WFMU's Studio B right here in Jersey City.

Big thanks to engineer Mark Koch!
