Listener comments!

  12:03am
Minnesota Jeff:

Former member of Metallica, Marianne Faithfull.
  12:04am
PMD:

Love her voice.
  12:11am
Therese:

Hey there, Minnesota Jeff & PMD!
  12:14am
Bob in DC/VA/Whatever:

Welcome back! Glad you didn't get blown or washed away.
  12:15am
Therese:

Thanks, Bob. It was touch and go for a bit, but I made it through the rain!
  12:17am
Fernando:

I'm a listener from Brazil, and I gotta say, WFMU plays more Caetano Veloso than any brazilian radio station I know.
  12:17am
Minnesota Jeff:

Therese: Does AP Mike fit into a certain type of New Jersey male? Clay and Julie talked to a guy in their last set that sounded pretty close to AP Mike.
  12:18am
muhrvis:

Greetings from Eugene, OR
  12:18am
Jeremy:

Pretty much everything on Soul Jazz records is gold. A Certain Ratio are wonderful!
  12:19am
Therese:

Fernando, is that good or bad?

Jeff- I have never met another like AP Mike, though he could only have come from NJ.

And hello Murhvis!
  12:22am
Rich:

Good Morning Therese. I love Doug Adams stuff. How about Grant Naylor's Red Dwarf. I want to wake La, La,La, La, La, La. Goldfish nibbling at my nose, Far Far Away. ("Julie: Goldfish Reference!") Thanks for making the trek Therese.
  12:22am
Minnesota Jeff:

I guess I don't know much about Jah Wobble outside of PiL recordings, but this wasn't what I was expecting.
  12:28am
muhrvis:

Jah Wobble!
  12:29am
Fernando:

Therese, Caetano had his ups and down, nowadays' been making soundtrack for primetime soup operas, so he manage to score a hit every year, even so not all that popular in Brazil . But what wfmu djs play is mostly his old stuff, which I enjoy very much. That Irene song I haven't heard in a long time...
  12:29am
Tom ( The Bactrian Support Network ):

... is loving the tunes and the cool crisp breeze and the windows open and the stars are out .... ahhhh!!!!!!!!

jaycjay:

It is very cool how much work Clay and Julie have put into keeping the station on the air... and listening to them has been a lot of fun!
  12:35am
Bob in DC/VA/Whatever:

I agree -- I've been hit by three hurricanes. People complaining that the storm wasn't worse really do need to shut up.

Also, guess what? They should have had those canned goods, water etc. anyway! You can have all kinds of emergencies.
  12:38am
Therese:

Exactly! Preparedness is a good idea!
  12:40am
Minnesota Jeff:

Is eating Leather goods a sound idea in a emergency situation? I would assume it fries up like bacon.
  12:42am
Therese:

I imagine it's more of a jerky-type texture, at best. I would be wary of whatever the leather had been tanned with. Or dyes, etc...
  12:44am
Minnesota Jeff:

I think braided belts maybe easier to eat, those won't be going back into style anyways.
  12:48am
Tom ( The Bactrian Support Network ):

...The ones that are complaining that ie.. "why they make a big fuss on the news media'... I mean wasn't it bad enough ... I APPLAUD the warnings and all!!!... I KNOW what a real ferocious CAT 3 say hurricane is like !!... God Forbid that would hit here we'd all be in the "dark" for a long time ...
  12:51am
Minnesota Jeff:

All I know is that out here, I had no idea what level of storm was hitting that part of the country, due to a confusing mix of Twitter and the Media. Twitter = "This is weak! Where's our hurricane!" and the Media = "You. Are. ALL! GOING! TO DROWN!" Then WFMU was all "How much do you weigh, caller?"
  12:54am
Therese:

Well, news reporting has never been our strength, Jeff.
  1:06am
Kevin:

Did you say Pierre pressure??!!!
  1:06am

Did I say Pierre pressure? Possibly...
  1:17am
Kevin:

Like Pierre from end of the world circus?

  1:22am
Therese:

I may have just stumbled over the word. It happens not infrequently.
  1:22am
kpg:

this is a fun show! so fun!
  1:24am
Therese:

Thank you, kpg!
  1:24am
Roger:

Thank you for making me not hate all rain and/or hurricane related music forever.
  1:26am
Minnesota Jeff:

Meghan should have no problem generating a Rain/Wind/Hurrican theme show for Underwater Theme Park with this weekends playlists.
  1:41am
Sam:

I *felt* it, as the epicenter was only 35 miles away. Aftershocks here as well. Great show btw, WFMU is an old friend.
  1:48am
Deeeeeeeeee:

<3 woofmoo
  1:49am

  2:13am
Therese:

That is correct, Rich. It's a good one!
  2:18am
Minnesota Jeff:

Sightings, these guys have such a unique dent in their sound. Its like they stepped out of the same place Pinhead is from in Hellraiser.
