Hey Rex! We met at the marathon. I was answering phones when you were co-hosting - I sat right next to you. Welcome back to the airwaves.
1:29pm
Joe R:
Your wife listens to this show?? Kidding. I never miss it and often replay it during the work week. Thanks for the years of that crazzzzzy music.
1:31pm
Michael:
You don't have to be a "fool" to listen to "Fools Paradise" but it helps. Love the show!
1:35pm
Dan Howell:
What was your favorite act at Ponderosa Stomp? Mine was definitely Cyril and Ron from Flamin' Groovies. WFMU should have hosted an event down there.
1:35pm
ted:
P Stomp was great. Does anyone have contact info for Josh Styles? (I don't do Myspace)
1:36pm
Mupp:

Funnel of Love - Twice! Wanda was in much better voice than I expected.
Now a bonafide Mug-N-Bun, Lockhart, and Ponderosa Stomp alumni.

ted:

1:53pm

As someone said from the stage, The nice (or was it sweet?) lady with the nasty voice.
1:55pm
Joe R:
To Lando- One of Rex's themes is "Shawnee" by the Premiers. I have it on the Desperate Rock n Roll V 3 comp. I'm sure Mr D has it on a 45, probably also autographed by all the band members.
1:58pm
jmd:
Wow! This Chicken Pot Pie track is way fantastic. Thanks.
2:00pm
Dave Rhoden:
ma ma ma ma ma ma ma ma
chicken pot pie!
can't wait to see who the artist is
(and I do mean ARTIST)
2:03pm
hazmania:
I never knew she was so tiny. They literally had to put a footstool down so she could get into the van when she left. It's crazy hearing that voice whooping, yodeling, etc. so strongly from such a small, frail lady. It's great she is getting the accolades she deserves. Surreal moment - on the balcony listening to Roy Loney describing what a great, friendly guy James Burton is backstage while turning into Bonnie Raitt entering as I head to the bar.
2:04pm
Mupp:
Careful which melons you be thumpin
2:05pm
danhowl:
did everyone feel the room tension rise when Wanda gave her testimony? I thought the crowd handled it wall though.
2:07pm
ted:
I just substitute cheeses for jesus whenever that happens
2:08pm
hazmania:
I toasted her faith with a shot
2:10pm
ted:
Satin loves you!
2:12pm
lando:
Thanks Joe!
2:12pm
Joe R:

2:15pm
Mupp:
And maybe Humpin or sumpin
2:17pm
ted:
Then you might as well use fuck instead of luck
2:18pm
hazmania:
Did anyone else hit the record show? I arrived with 20 minutes left and really didn't get to look much. I did score a mint copy of The Addicts Sing though.
2:32pm

I am about half way through John Broven's wonderful book. I just finished his interview with Gene Goodman. PLEASE read this book! See if your library can get a copy on the shelf!
3:01pm
Joe R:
Is Broven's book kind of like Charlie Gillette's "Sound of the City"? That book opened my eyes to the influence the independent record companies had on the growth and spread of rock'n'roll.
3:03pm
Daddy-o Dilly:
Joe: You're right on target, brother!
3:21pm
Mark Dillman "Daddy-o Dilly":
