  8:07pm
Jeff M:

I love Tiny Tim. I love Brave Combo. I love Tiny Tim with Brave Combo.

(Would you believe I listened to their music on records for years, and figured they were kind-of-academic musicologist-musician types whose quirk was putting things to dance-music rhythms; then I saw them live and realized they're a kick-ass Texas dance band.)
  8:08pm

  8:29pm
Dagmar:

M -

I can report that CB2 spent the day cutting trees and raking and is tired boy. Besides that, he found a tick (!!) on himself and ran screaming from the room (he's such a sissy). He missed Tiny Tim. Ihope that Carabou hasn't done Texas Scott a mischeif!

Love ya.
  8:32pm
SeanG:

I puttin on my cuban heels
  8:34pm
SeanG:

  8:34pm
CB2:

Don't believe a word she says. Sissy fit - I will show that gal a sissy fit!

I personally think TS is tied up with Ms. Fudgie in the Powder Room.
  8:37pm
Has Seen It All on Ye Olde WWW...:

Hmm, I always thought Cheri was a posting persona of Mr. Tex's.
  8:40pm
Renee Z:

I always like to celebrate with Satyrs.

We get together and bake fabulous cookies for our special friends.
  8:41pm
sugarwolf:

I had meatloaf for dinner on Friday. (But I'm a Protestant, so I can.) And I worked TODAY. You never hear the "War on Christmas" crowd talking about the "War on Easter".
  8:47pm
CB2:

The English and German names, "Easter" and "Ostern", seem to likely derive either from Eostremonat, an old Germanic month name, or Eostre, an Asatru fertility goddess whom the 8th century English historian Bede records was honored with a fertility festival during Eostremonat.

So what the hell does this have to do with Christianity - other than we always had fish sticks on Friday at the school cafeteria - with the worse tarter sauce you can imagine.
  8:51pm
SeanG:

tahtah soice, I'm fwom Bahston
  8:53pm
Finao DeWitt:

Amen, Margo!
  8:56pm
Jeff M:

I actually saw "At Liberty". Absofuckinglutely fabulous (even though I didn't get at least a third of the "in" theatre rerefences).

C'mon, after all this Stritch, can we hear "Ladies Who Lunch"? Maybe it has something to do with Easter. Maybe.
  8:58pm
monica:

To all my little Easter Peeps.... Thank you all for imbibing in the show this evenin'...see you all next Sunday!!!
  8:58pm
sugarwolf:

does anyone still wear... an easter bonnet?
  8:58pm
Jeff M:

Okay, fine, I'll always take Noel Coward. I love his little speech impediment.

(Is that weird?)
  8:59pm
Jeff M:

All right, sugarwolf rules.
  9:00pm
SeanG:

great stuff, like an Atget photograph
  9:02pm
Jeff M:

A little old, a little blurry, but somehow ineffably perfect?
  9:04pm
SeanG:

yes sir
  9:14am
J:

What's the name of that orchestrated "I Wanna Be Sedated" bed that comes after Todd Terry? It's awesome.
  3:20pm
Jeff M:

I think it's by The Nutley Brass.
  12:00pm
PatrickC:

Monica, you make my week! I can listen to your show 3 or 4 times during the work week. Of course listening live is even better! What's the harmonica music behind the DJ before the last set (after Smart Brothers)? I've heard you play it several times but always missed the artist.
