I grew up in South Jersey, not far from Philly. I'm not too familiar with the record stores there anymore, though if you're passing through Princeton, you MUST stop at Princeton Record Exchange.
When I'm back in Jersey during the summer, I always make a point of stopping by Italiano's for water ice - on 12th St in Phila. The best water ice ever!

to Monica - luvvs the show today, you are helping me stay chill at work. I'm seeing Batman this weekend, yeah!

Digging the mutant Ramones, Miss M. Next week, I'll be at a sidewalk cafe in Quebec City, and the week after, I'll be back at the damn desk. But this week, I'm enjoying vacation at home. I saw the Abba movie and the Batman movie, one after the other.
  10:39am
GP:

Headed to Charlottesville, VA for a week....wish the actual highway had the information highway so that I could stream WFMU the whole way...have to settle for the archives.
  10:43am
Ross:

This station is great (trouble is fantastic!). I started listening here at work a few months ago and have been addicted ever since. Thanks for caring!
  10:45am
Doug:

GP, streaming WFMU to my phone and plugging the headphone output into my car stereo works great!
  10:45am
kent goldings:

I'll be in San Francisco next month, officially to attend a conference - unofficially to buy lots of records. Can anyone recommend some good Japanese food there? Ideally with something for vegetarians - my partner's a nonfisheating veg.
  10:48am

Thanks Doug for the idea...(SIGH) yet another reminder that I need to update my technology...My mobile still has a cord and a dial!

sort of a harry darger type of genius... i dig this song!
  11:06am
GP:

We need a Daniel Johnston, Mingering Mike, Bronson showdown.
  11:06am
kent goldings:

sure thing, barney! i'm looking way forward to aquarius.
  11:11am
Parq:

Kent, let me endorse Barney's endorsement of Aquarius. Amoeba gets all the attention, but Aquarius has the non-mainstream bona fides, with many titles augmented by their own thoughtful notes, affixed right on the discs.
  11:13am
monica:

hi gp~ we'll try to arrange that! north guinea hills, there's lots about mingering mike online....
thanks all !!
  11:24am
barney:

I would also recommend checking out (or signing up for) Aquarius's new release list in preparation:
http://www.aquariusrecords.org/cat/newest.html
They're friendly folks, too.
  11:39am
GP:

Monica, follow up with some Francoise Hardy please!

THANKS EVERYONE FOR CHECKING IN!! Have a wonderful week - i'll be back next friday. mwah!!
  8:16am
Andrew:

Hi Monica,
I loved your show! I get to listen to it on my way to work where I edit documentary films. I actually heard the Delta Rhythm Boys song Alouette and thought it would be great for a film I am working on. I've tried to find a copy online, but I can't find it anywhere. Do you think there is anyway I could get a digital copy from you (or be able to download it on the site)?
Thanks again for the amazing show. AR
