Fatafit  Menta Malak   Favoriting Egyptian pop. Sounds good, no? 
Hamza El Din  Ollin Azageed   Favoriting The master of the oud died last May; I saw him perform at the 1964 Newport Folk Festival. This tune is from his 1988 "Eclipse" album, on Rykodisc. Produced by Micky Hart, this is a wonderful introduction to Nubian music. 
Rene Lacaille & Bob Brozman  Place D'Youville   Favoriting This multi-insturmentalist from Reunion Island, near Madagascar in the Indian Ocean, plays sweet music-- here with help from Bob Brozman.
