Bass is what I consider myself best at. For a couple decades I was bassist in the bands I was in, wishing I could be on guitar. Then for a decade or so I mainly played guitar in bands and having gotten that out of my system, I now prefer playing bass in band situations.

Kinda opposite for me: once I got past cowboy chords I was "stunt guiitar" with most bands I played with. As I got more annoyed with bands I started playing more things myself, discovered I really enjoy bass (and it helped I played with some solid rhythm sections so I could model on them). I've since accepted the Bass VI as my personal savior—they're basically all the fun for me.
