December 11, 2024: Radio Ravioli presents: Ravioli Tourism Monthly Open Lines Extravaganza
Adriene and Olivia guide you in a kind and gentle tour of open minds and open hearts. This week, we're talking about all things related to TIME - our perceptions and anxieties, how we can change it, how it passes us by, and if time travel is real. Taking calls during the show - CALL US AT 201-209-9368! We're also fielding voice memos for next month's show about health insurance - send it to tourism AT wfmu DOT org.

This performance of the Philip Glass ensemble accompanying the dazzling film Powaqqatsi was utterly brilliant. Accompanied by additional singers and percussion, the playing was extraordinary, thrilling and beautiful. For over 50 years, I have seen Mr. Glass live, doing solo shows at Plymouth Church, Citicenter, performing opera at the Met Opera (Einstein on the Beach, The Voyage, Akhnatan, Satyagraha) and at BAM with Lucinda Childs, Robert Wilson, the revival of Einstein and the latest Etudes, performed by 12 different pianists. And I was at Town Hall many years ago for a three night event of Einstein, Music in 12 parts and Music with Changing Parts. This latest event was a continuation of his brilliance and I will be seeing the third installment later in 2025.
