It's basically a stripped down computer with hard drives to back up the data you have on the main computer. I mostly listen to LP's and CDs , but I must have 4-5 TB digital music on a few hard drives that are gone if any fail. Lots of stuff i don't have on LP/CD, and a lot of, ahem, 'unofficial' live recordings.
