I work in retail and they actually just started our Christmas music today. We get really lucky with ours though, they tend to lean more towards the novelty side of things as opposed to the stuff you usually hear. For instance, I had no idea that James brown had so many Christmas songs until I started working here, and not a single one features a sleigh bell!

I worked in retail one xmas, and christmas was actually a relief. Instead of all the miserable modern pop, there would be upbeat Big Band-type stuff. And when it played the Beach Boys, i was like: wow, actual rock music.

It was on when I was a kid, but I couldn't tell you anything more than it was a show about a Koala. Like many things I loved as a kid, I couldn't tell you anything about them these days. (Except Max Headroom.)

It was on in re-runs well beyond that! There is no way I caught it in that three month span. I seem to recall USA had a Cartoon show that re-ran all sorts of crap well past it's expiration.

I mean, I saw every OG Scooby Doo as a kid, and that was at least 15 years before my time.

I think so, based on other references / etc.

I was talking to someone else about this: I know The Flintstones really well, from when I was a kid. Why were they re-running the Flintstones in the 80's? Like, the only people I knew who were really excited about it were Boomers, and even then, it was based on Nostalgia for even older TV. It's sort of bonkers how much REALLY OLD TV was in circulation when I was a kid, and how LITTLE old TV is in circulation, now.
