in the 1980s i worked at a cemetery and the director took a stray dog that we'd been feeding and took him home, but he came with the director every day. he named him Xerxes. everyone thought it was dumb but me. i only thought it was *kinda* dumb.

Yes.
He attacked Greece in the Battle of Thermopylae as everyone knows from seeing “The 300 Spartans” (1962), if not “300” (2006).

Somebody in an animation studio where I worked lent me '300'. I just thought is was some kind of inexplicable homo-erotic trash that was mostly about CGI.

The homoerotic nature of 300 is the only thing I remember about that movie, Other than just randomly yelling: "TONIGHT! WE DINE! IN HELL!!"

I learned a lot today on the drummer stream. I learnt from Stork that Demis Roussos had been held ostage by the Hezbollah in 1985. Didn't know that.

i was hoping they'd schedule me to work on thankgiving, as they did last week despite my "not available on thursday" status.
but they didn't, probably because they didn't want to pay a part-timer doubletime.

so maybe i'll get drunk, and gradually lose sight of anything i might potentially be Thankful for.
