↳ tom tom the pipers son @9:30
Info: This album was recorded on an old DIAPASON piano that was passed down to Tomoyoshi Date from his aunt, the first person to notate shamisen music on a five-line staff. The piano was retuned to the pitch of one loosened peg (438Hz in 2022) for recording (As it is). On a discontinued 45 RPM record, listeners could adjust the pitch to their environment (As you are). For this release, the pitch has been adjusted to 432Hz, a frequency Date has recently been working with. As the music on cassette tape naturally degrades over time, its pitch will gradually drop. Between the unchanging digital version and the physical tape, an element of “time” emerges as an object in sound.

GIRABBE # 299024:

My first job was working at Popeyes fried chicken. For the first two days they made me clean and season the birds for eight hours straight which was disgusting. My hands burned like hell for a week even though I wore thick rubber gloves. I quit shortly after they moved me to the fryer because I couldn’t keep frying rancid meat with good conscience, when I tried to inform the manager that the birds had gone bad he said don’t worry the fryer will kill anything.

Stuart Shapiro productions, those conventions, same guy who did Night Flight, which aired New Wave Theater with Peter Ivers...

As an 11-12 year old I used to be caddy at the local fancy golf course on weekends. In high school did a few summers as a carny.

Russell Crowe was in the year ahead of me in high school and we played in the same rugby team for a couple of years. He's a very unpleasant person.

I worked at a pizza hut. I ate handfuls of toppings all day. 3 fingers worth of cheese, small stack of pepperoni, and some green peppers per mouthful was a tasty combo. Every time I walked out of the cooler my cheeks were stuffed.
