re: name calling...hate to introduce this....but harris responding to the opposition's statement about "helping women whether they like it or not" and saying it's about the opposition's not thinking women should have control over their own bodies was misleading because the opposition did not mention abortion in that specific statement (although there's plenty of history on that, the statement was racist, about protecting women from black and brown men/people and why not stick to specific language when positing an argument) ironically somewhat reduces women to their bodies when what the opposition was saying was a threat to women as a whole and just as if not more dangerous

But it's definitely the subcontext of a huge part of this election. One thing that the Left tends to do is hold its own people to standards involving minutae while the fascists let EVERYTHING slide in their own leadership. We need to have a united front for the Blue Wave. We can get back to nitpicking once we've cleaned out the Aegean Stables that is the USA today. I know it's frustrating but the smart, overthinking Left in the US shoots itself in the nether regions constantly whilst the shambolic Right just points a finger and sends its mobs of zombies towards any designated target.

well-put. first things first.

...i was sitting with a woman yesterday on a public pateo when a man walks over, attracted by my wfmu t-shirt. he was a bit rude but well-intentioned, kind of a lonely old dead-head i guess...
the woman after an initial glance never acknowledged his existence again, for the >10 minutes he stood there.
he left and i asked her. she said she refused to talk with someone wearing a Kamala Harris t-shirt.
she said she only votes in local elections; and certainly wouldn't vote for Harris or trump.
yes Harris is terrible; but i see that as a wasted vote against trump.

we can try to fix some things once the out of control monster is at bay.
