An underground journey through the history of psychedelic rock, modern music, shimmering noise, free jazz, punk, funk, children's records played at the wrong speed, tape cut-up, static, the composition of decomposition, and subversive spoken word.

I dislike these childish terms, yet RINOs are going to bring it home for Harris.
I feel gross typing that term in these sacred corridors of conversation.
Also, Mexico just elected their first woman president. Things have gravity. It's easier for things to exist as a group than for anything to be a singular occurrence. Lady president gravity has already been established, and lets see these presidents succeed.
Please everyone do vote. As we all love freefrom radio... people did die so we could enjoy it, so lets do our part and vote.
USA is not perfect, yet freedom is so much better than what history has fought against.
Also, nice Tony Cliffton reference there, DJ.
Sounding good & happy Sunday night to all

The aim is, & always has been, to ensure that the result is heavily disputed so that the resulting chaos can be escalated to the point of justifying a coup
The aim is to have numerous court case right across the land about every stage of the process, the count, the ratification at state level, the EC vote & the ratification of that.
The aim is that the rival protests outside the court houses turn violent.
Just like the Capitol wasn't protected on J6 some states won't break up the demos.
There'll be attempts to escalate the chaos, racial dog whistling is likely to extremely strong.
There'll be rival militias parading in front of each other (just like during the George Floyd protests) & road blockade at trade bottlenecks (just like in Canada during the pandemic). The electricity supply infrastructure will be attacked (just like it was last time the election result was disputed)
Throw in a car bombing or 3 & rumours of national guard units splitting & taking sides & it could all get very nasty.
And it won't just be the MAGAs fuelling all this, Americas enemies abroad (Russia, China, Iran, DPRK etc) will all be seeking to stoke the fire. Imagine what a few Islamicist bombings might provoke.
Law enforcement & the courts aren't some united indivisible block
This weekend the Shefiff's dept in Clark County Ohio (where Springfield, yes *that* Springfield is) has gone out of its way to publicly signal that it will side with pro-trump protestors in the forthcoming unrest.
This is just one of literallydozens of dozens of news stories that seek to set the forthcoming chaos narrative
Its long long been part of the authoritarian playbook to present themselves as the solution to the very chaos that they themselves have provoke & promoted.
The Nazis did it. Lenin did it. Peron did it. Modi & Putin do it. D now the GOP is doing it.
All this seems as clear as day to me & I don't understand why everyone can't see it
This is why the GOP is openly campaigning on a platform of "we are going to steal the election to stop the dems stealing it". Its why they boast of how they are going to try & game the process. Its why they make racially provocative statements.
Of course, in a sufficiently hypernormal environment pointing out the hypernormal becomes a hypernormal act itself

Agreed. Trump represents the ugly urge towards fascism. Truth is we get so easily blinkered in that direction and Harris's tilt toward border-wall supremacy represents the same impulse. Immigrants make life better; a fact that is obvious to those of us who live and work in multi-cultural neighborhoods. Our liberation is all tied up together.

Before we were all born, people were like "the ruler is always evil... what do we do about this?" "We give ourselves a choice of the lesser of the two evils." "Bet."

Once we defeat that, we can press Democratic power holders to rethink some of their plutocracy-bolstering assumptions and policies.

i know i have said it numerous times but -- i thought Watergate was bad! my 8th grade class trip was in 1973, at the height of the Watergate fiasco -- but, i was cynical about politics long before that (typical goofball Aquarian, i have wanted to "make the world a better place" ever since i was a little kid, but i knew that being a politician was not the way to do that! 😹😹)
agreed -- Harris is far from perfect, but at least there is a possibility for communication
while i realize that her words are carefully chosen, it does catch my (old, jaded, cynical-yet-hopeful) attention when she talks about "earning the votes of the American [sic] people"
also agreed -- we are all immigrants -- "illegal invasions" ever since Columbus . . .
so -- while i am bracing for the worst, i am truly hoping for the best 😺😺
and again, eternally infinitely grateful to all of you out there in WFMU-land -- my true family! you all really are the BEST! 😻😻
