I remember getting a Halloween/Sound FX type record for a birthday when I was about 7 or 8 and it was so scary that I couldn't listen to it. I think I eventually tracked it down as an adult and (I think) I have it.

Oh yeah, fairly familiar with Thousand Oaks. Like where I live, it's quite suburban, so trick or treating is still big. We have Hollywood special fx artists who go all out - amazingly decorated houses with homemade dummies, fx, sounds, etc.
