Opening act was....a gangsta rapper, complete with an annoying laser show, waaaaaaaaay too much bass, and unintellegible lyrics. The audience pretty much stood there, silently. The audience was the usual mix of SXSW music geeks, with an unusually high concentration of middle-aged Devo fans in their yellow jumpsuits and energy domes. Opening act was....a gangsta rapper, complete with an annoying laser show, waaaaaaaaay too much bass, and unintellegible lyrics. The audience pretty much stood there, silently. When his set was over, almost no applause. It was awkward.
