It had me in tears when I opened my eyes.
Has even the sub-conscious world become so cynical that I'd be mocked for charity?
I wonder.
"A Dream Goes On Forever"
A million old soldiers will fade away
But a dream goes on forever
I'm left standing here, Ive got nothing to say
All is silent within my dream
A thousand true loves will live and die
But a dream goes on forever
The days and the years all go streaking by
But the time is stopped within my dream
We all have our everyday hopes and fears
And you'll find no exception in me
But that doesn't get me through a sea of tears
Over life's biggest tragedy
You're so long ago and so far away
But a dream goes on forever
I guess I believe that I'll see you one day
For without it there is no dream
You're so far away and so long ago
But my dream lives on forever
How much I love you you'll never know
'Till you join me within my dream
How much I love you you'll never know
'Till you join me within my dream

October 13 Falcon Heavy • Europa Clipper
Launch time: 12:12 p.m. EDT (1612 UTC)
Launch site: LC-39A, Kennedy Space Center, Florida
A SpaceX Falcon Heavy rocket will launch NASA’s Europa Clipper to begin its journey to the Galilean moon of the same name. Europa, a moon believed to have a saltwater ocean on its surface, is the fourth largest of Jupiter’s 95 moons. It’s also the sixth closest to the planet. This Falcon Heavy rocket will be flown in a fully expendable configuration, bringing an end to the side booster, tail numbers B1064 and B1065, after they each flew on five previous Falcon Heavy missions. Delayed from Oct. 10 due to Hurricane Milton.

Hurricanes destruction is not political. It can't take your point into consideration & it is a very valid one.
Natural disasters affect all people no matter their stripe politically.
Bad policy however tends to favor the wealthiest and hurts those in the middle & the poorest the most.
I can't get into all of the sub causes & effects of what I posted above, but just what's there is enough to illustrate the point that one person is doing immense damage to many people with his ego.
Then all we hear is PLEASE WILL YOU DONATE?
$11B would go a long way to reducing the need for average charitable Joe & Jane to reach in their pocket to help, while also constantly being told to tighten their belts due to rising prices etc.

I love his music.
The book was written in a very heavily British way (understandable) but for someone like me who has no conception really of the Educational system there (A levels, Secondary Modern etc.) It forces me to have to stop reading & look things up.
Since I have reading issues already that make me read & re-read passages, it becomes cumbersome.
I've read books by Brits Elvis Costello & Peter Frampton among others, who talk about their schooldays in England, but they didn't dwell as heavily on the details as Hitchcock does.
But hey..it's his life & his book :)
