Sure enough, she fainted, got up quick, then collapsed again. The weird part is she collapsed on a guy who yelled for help (good) but blocked the way with his bags saying he couldn't touch her because he was a Christian. I mean, at least move your bags, sheesh. I stood helpless (she was way taller and bigger than me), so the best I could do was keep track of her belongings (phone, hat), pick them up and hand them to to her when she was carried out Not happy about my behavior there

She convinced me that as a Christian, it was wrong for me to interact with other females unless she was around. I genuinely believed that was how Christians were supposed to behave, so I expected the same from her. Our relationship spiraled into a state of constant paranoia—we distrusted each other and frequently accused one another of inappropriate contact with others. It was really messed up. I remember one time a female classmate asked me for help carrying art supplies to her car, and I actually refused, explaining that it would go against my faith. Ugh, what was I thinking? I truly thought that’s how a Christian relationship worked. It wasn’t until I started dating Missus Barno—who’s completely secure and not the least bit jealous—that I realized the issue had nothing to do with faith. It was all about jealousy and insecurity. After four years of living in a paranoid relationship, it felt strange to finally have the freedom to interact with people without fear or suspicion. And that's how it's been for the 35 years we’ve been together. That guy might be dealing with something similar—caught in a toxic dynamic and confusing jealousy and being manipulated by religion.
