September 3, 2024: The Wiggle Room w/ BC Sterrett: This week a 1994 cassette of soundbites for homemade radio
In March 1994 at 33 years old, local cartoonist/record collector Steven Anderson (aka Premium Deluxe), created this cassette of soundbites to be used for homemade radio shows. At the time he was getting into the Incredibly Strange Music Books and with his friend Donovan were making recordings pretending to be old ladies exploring obscure 45's and oldies, hoping that it would get picked up by local radio station KRCL. Later they created their own online radio series, "Vinyl Cobwebs" which is how I first discovered and became friends with these people.
Talking to Steve on the phone today to ask him permission to share this audio, he couldn't believe that it has been 30 years since this tape's creation.
I cannot vouch for the contents of this cassette and hope that it is ok for airplay. Ladies and Gentlemen, "Enjoy Yourself!"
