Mary Ellen was born here in Lafayette and went to ULL undergrad (in those days, U of Southwestern LA), before Harvard Law. -- The other house is being sold off with the proceeds going to 14 cousins of the decedent, after it's in shape to sell.

The author takes a fairly objective tone. He stays away from popular characterizations of Nick like "tortured genius". Details of Nick spending time with friends and descriptions of Nicks live shows are very detailed. I'm curious how this book compares to other biographies now.
