The movie’s star Barry Evan was a sad case, abandoned in infancy and raised in an orphanage. At the end of his life, he’d given up on acting and drove a cab. In 1997 he was found dead at home, possibly murdered.
I just recently watched his 1969-1970 sitcom “Doctor in the House”. Not bad. The pilot was written by John Cleese and Graham Chapman. Most of the series was written by Graeme Garden and Bill Oddie of “The Goodies”.
