did anyone catch that hilarious Beastie Boys interview recently where they told the story about how they noticed one of their framed gold records had the wrong number of tracks on it so they busted it out of the frame and put it on the turntable and instead of their own LP it was just some random piano music of a guy playing Barry Manilow songs?

once I read story about people complaining about Mr Frosty trucks in NYC, and i thought "wow, you'd have to be a real grouch to cry about ice cream trucks". and then an ice cream truck came and sat near my house playing "turkey in the straw" over and over for an hour and i just about lost my mind....

Might depend on how much you want ice cream during a tornado, though? Hi, Listener Gregory!

I believe the NYC311 app has a "Noise from Ice Cream Truck" option on their request lists. Also, those trucks aren't supposed to idle more than 3 minutes in any one location. Tell that to the kids, though...

The Mats actually did cover Misty Mountain Hop. On their release The Shit Hits The Fan, from the liner notes “People come to see us and what do we go and do? What we want – play covers, basically wing it and embarrass a lot of people in the process (a dunce cap never fit so well). For worse or for worser, it’s us, and without that stuff we’d die a dull death.”

Oh whoops I took your Mats as referencing Mats Gustaffson. Dunce cap, on!
