i find the music of the sahel to be very abstract and wonder if there's some religio-cultural element in the culture combined with the emptiness of the desert that makes this happen because the quality is very consistent

We're seeing friends in southern-ish Maine for three days and then going 3+ hours up the coast for a few days of canoeing. Should be real nice.
