	10:54pm dan in wisconsin: Detective novels/noir novels are my kick lately. Man, if you read enough or watch enough films in this genre one can become jaded toward humanity. Raymond Chandler, Dashiell Hammett and Ross Macdonald are what I've been checking out lately.

	10:56pm dan in wisconsin: The noir movie Kiss Me Deadly (1955) has got to be one of the most oddball noirs though. The ending scene is wacky, and I guess it's got a sci-fi element to it.
