↳ Song: "Time Will Tell" by "Justen O'Brien & Jake"
- this is what "guerssen" (a variety of euro locations reissue label?) had to say abt this fun & mysterious release: "The greatest album in the history of North Dakota is Justen O’Brien and Jake’s Time Will Tell (1978)... Bootlegged twice already, Guerssen is proud to present the first artist-approved reissue of this mysterious, deep, UFO-inspired masterpiece. Featuring crystal-clear sound, the originally-intended cover art in gorgeous gatefold cover, in-depth liner notes by Douglas Mcgowan (Yoga Records), and never-before-seen photos capturing the mystique of this long-gone psych / prog / lounge classic, even longtime fans will need to check back in with Justen O’Brien’s unique vision of the cosmos. A truly MAJOR left field rediscovery on par with Bobb Trimble, Jade Stone and Luv, or DR Hooker." = huh, curious that!
LC=U R one of the champs of obscurities revival! Sincerely, thank You.

is that main gif up top, the great Gena Rowlands from one of her masterful perfs "Woman Under the Influence"?! - always loved her. Both "Gloria" (1980) & "Love Streams" (1984) were unusual gems. Among many others. I still haven't seen their underappreciated "Opening Night" (1977/delayed release).

i was still pretty young when i first saw Gloria & Love Streams = both simultaneously opened & blew my mind at the time. The films may have dated since (yet i don't really mind that!). Heck, i still get a kick outta the bonkers-fun (& maligned?) Paul Mazursky version of "The Tempest" (1982) - what a cast!

- a (not so) random side leap here,
i feel this actors perf in the following film is an ode to Gena:
"A Fantastic Woman" (2017) featuring Daniela Vega =whoa!
It's a stellar & intense Spanish/Chilean film by a strong director: Sebastian Lelio.
