	3:49pm DJ GeorgyGirl: Apparently ... old books release a chemical which is the same as the one in breast milk (hence the slight vanilla smell) which is why they are so pleasing. I read that somewhere :-)

	3:50pm Paper Kosmonaut: In an archive it's all about the preservation of the film itself. We do not really care about the package. The films need to be in good condition and when a anister starts eroding the film needs a new tin.

Self-combusting when temperatures are over 36 centigrades. They are not in use since 1950 but there are still lots of them laying around.

	3:49pm DJ GeorgyGirl: Apparently ... old books release a chemical which is the same as the one in breast milk (hence the slight vanilla smell) which is why they are so pleasing. I read that somewhere :-)

	3:50pm Paper Kosmonaut: In an archive it's all about the preservation of the film itself. We do not really care about the package. The films need to be in good condition and when a anister starts eroding the film needs a new tin.

Self-combusting when temperatures are over 36 centigrades. They are not in use since 1950 but there are still lots of them laying around.
