	💣 4:59am tom tom the pipers son: one more supermarket memory... there was a manager, an older man, louie, who was very smart, learned and knew the owner of the chain of supermarkets, and seemed trapped in the job like he made some sort of faustian bargain with the owner...two things... a mouse was caught in a glue trap and he stepped on it and crushed it. it let out a scream. this was in the middle of the store during store hours. home from college for summer i went back to the supermarket. one afternoon louie was seated in the back room on what was probably large bundles of brown paper bags like it was a throne and there were a group of people idiotically fawning over him. louie looked like he was drunk with power... it was like a scene out of a tod browning movie... there and then i quit and thgen worked in a health food store with somewhat equally strange bosses/owners
