	6:29am PaulRobeson1924: Robby Krieger 8/08 performing @City Winery- Born in Los Angeles, California, Robby Krieger was convinced by a Chuck Berry concert to give rock music a go, which resulted in the guitarist trading in his classical guitar in for a Gibson SG, an instrument that would eventually become his signature instrument. Studying physics and Indian music at UCLA, Krieger played in bands with friends, and eventually bumped into a drummer he'd met a few years before, John Densmore. The two began jamming on blues together, while Krieger's interest in Indian music and culture continued to flourish, as he began dabbling with sitars (studying at the Kinnara School, which was founded by Ravi Shankar), and attending meditation classes. It was at one of these meditation classes that Krieger met keyboardist Ray Manzarek. Manzarek eventually convinced Krieger to come down and rehearse with a poet/singer he'd been working with, Jim Morrison. Their first rehearsal supposedly resulted in the penning of "Moonlight Drive," resulting in the birth of the Doors

	6:59am Gerry from Miami: Yo, SQUINTS! Busy yesterday? I had a medical appointment at my local VA clinic. It took the nurse over an hour to find a decent vein to get a blood sample. They said I was somewhat dehydrated, so I had to go "tank up" with eight(!) cups of water. The phlebotomist finally got the requisite red stuff from my hand. I still have Band-Aids on each elbow crook where they failed to pull up the "juice." I feel fine this morning and am currently drinking a tall glass of iced tea mixed with various fruit juices. Gotta stay hydrated! By the way, I love that Katy the Kyng record too! Clay interviewed her on the show recently. Hope you are well up there in CRITICAL MASS.

Until She Of The Big Brown Eyes had her mild (in retrospect) stroke in 2003 her blood was definitely 10w40; she was a tough draw. Now that she's on the thinners, it's completely reversed. I'm fortunate enough at my advanced yoot to have mostly been able to keep doctors in my life only for checkups and maintenance. Knock wood.

	6:29am PaulRobeson1924: Robby Krieger 8/08 performing @City Winery- Born in Los Angeles, California, Robby Krieger was convinced by a Chuck Berry concert to give rock music a go, which resulted in the guitarist trading in his classical guitar in for a Gibson SG, an instrument that would eventually become his signature instrument. Studying physics and Indian music at UCLA, Krieger played in bands with friends, and eventually bumped into a drummer he'd met a few years before, John Densmore. The two began jamming on blues together, while Krieger's interest in Indian music and culture continued to flourish, as he began dabbling with sitars (studying at the Kinnara School, which was founded by Ravi Shankar), and attending meditation classes. It was at one of these meditation classes that Krieger met keyboardist Ray Manzarek. Manzarek eventually convinced Krieger to come down and rehearse with a poet/singer he'd been working with, Jim Morrison. Their first rehearsal supposedly resulted in the penning of "Moonlight Drive," resulting in the birth of the Doors

	6:59am Gerry from Miami: Yo, SQUINTS! Busy yesterday? I had a medical appointment at my local VA clinic. It took the nurse over an hour to find a decent vein to get a blood sample. They said I was somewhat dehydrated, so I had to go "tank up" with eight(!) cups of water. The phlebotomist finally got the requisite red stuff from my hand. I still have Band-Aids on each elbow crook where they failed to pull up the "juice." I feel fine this morning and am currently drinking a tall glass of iced tea mixed with various fruit juices. Gotta stay hydrated! By the way, I love that Katy the Kyng record too! Clay interviewed her on the show recently. Hope you are well up there in CRITICAL MASS.

Until She Of The Big Brown Eyes had her mild (in retrospect) stroke in 2003 her blood was definitely 10w40; she was a tough draw. Now that she's on the thinners, it's completely reversed. I'm fortunate enough at my advanced yoot to have mostly been able to keep doctors in my life only for checkups and maintenance. Knock wood.
