	8:03pm laurapanic: We got a LOT of British TV here in the 70s and 80s. I lived with my English great-grandmother for a time. Kenny was part of the day.

My dad was famous for watching TV from the other room. (He would watch a little of something, then wander off, leaving it on after him.) Most anything that wasn't "Rockford Files" was something I accidentally saw after he had wandered off.

But I certainly spent a fair amount of time when I lived on my own at first, just watching old TV Shows, completely unrestricted.

	🎸 8:23pm Austin Rich: When I was older, my mom opened a book / record / comic book store, and it was very near to the city library. So I would work for my mom, check out stuff at the library, and listen to the radio. Those were the days!

I recently bought an old set of World Book. Some of it doesn't hold up well, in its descriptions of world geopolitical entries. And its only the 2000 edition.
