I'm gonna drive up to the mountains, near a town I lived in when I was a kid. I found a campground that allows reservations, I've got my own site, so I'm gonna hike, listen to my walkman, and read comics until Sunday Night. I even have a couple salmon steaks I can cook for dinner... gonna be a quiet week of relaxation.

(I might also record a bunch of field recordings out in the woods... we'll see how I feel.)

I feel like I should do a show about lost / missing records. I'm already thinking about more stories. We had a house break-in, where some records were stolen... I was most angry about the re-issue of the Popeye soundtrack, which couldn't possibly be worth anything to anyone but me.

The Cheers theme getting what it deserves
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:50pm
Austin Rich:

There was this kids toy - 2xL Talking Robot - that used cassette tapes, but took advantage of all four tracks for playback in the toy. When you would play the tape in a regular stereo, you would get some odd sounds, voices talking over each other, and on side b, everything was backwards. I used to love sampling those tapes.
