I was in gainesville, a college town (well, 124k pop) 2016-2020, and there was a healthy DIY music scene and touring bands, and 90% of the audience were older than college age, (basements don't exist in FL due to the water table)

I haven't eaten from a pizza chain in a few years. There are so many "mom and pa" stores in Australia. I tend to go across the city to a particular place that is next door to a guitar shop. The guitar shop used to have an Eddie Van Halen signature guitar in the front window.

It's just tragic that so many people eat all that fast food shit thinking it's actually food. People should cook at home, using real ingredients that grow in the ground or on a tree. The processed factory stuff is just poison. It doesn't matter what the label says- it ain't fit for consumption!

There's a great pizza place in my town, many different toppings, some unusual, though I tend to go with basic stuff (it highlights the great fresh ingredients)
I rarely indulge by now, but it's nice to know it's there

At the end of 1999, I moved to London for work for 6 months. Everything felt so expensive, especially as it was my 2nd full-time job.
I remember that our office would do group orders of Dominos. Half of a really crappy pizza cost the same as a new CD and I really stopped eating out for most of my time over there.
