Where were you, Larry, during the Nathan's thing?!

It just occurred to me that for almost 20 years I was Parliamentarian for an association in California. Not once did I proclaim, "Tear the roof off the sucker." However, I frequently reminded the assembled to free their minds, etc.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:52pm
Funky16Corners:

You mean this years contest? I didn't see it, though the reigning champ was pushed out because he's endorsing veggie dogs. Also, ALL Parliamentarians should be tearing the roof off whenever possible. And, hello Dean!

Maui's looks incredible, the kind of place I want to know about when I'm visiting the area. Right now I'm trying to identify similar joints near Monterey, CA.

I started a funk/soul web zine in 2000 and borrowed the name from a killer 45 by the Highlighters Band. Carried it with me through my blogs, radio shows and live DJing. It comes from the many "corners" dance craze records, four corners, eight corners, getting the corners etc
  4:01pm
Dean:

Name was a band's name, right? But that doesn't get to significance.

For killer horseradish mustard, my two go-to's are Philippe's for French dips near Union Station in LA, and Johnnie's Pastrami on Sepulveda, just north of LAX.

Grilled corn in the husk is also super tasty. Soak the corn in their husks in water for at least 20 minutes, throw them on the grill. Best part is burning your fingers in wild anticipation of scarfing down that corn after adding butter.
