I flipped for this Jazz P album when it arrived! It was so dang FUN!🥳. I recall reading some short articles on bday-girl Deb Harry on how she had been really working diligently on improving her vocal abilities (esp re Jass styles) around the time of ‘Autoamerican’+(hear her ‘faces’, which was a surprise for some at 1980). Also recall she continued improving for many years hence. I was blown away when I finally find out she was literally 10years the senior over most of that scenes folks. That beauty & talent has no bounds. (& great genetics🧬!).
Note: don’t sleep on a stellar Blondie in Berlin club-concert circa the solid Pollinator tour (2017?). It’s a gas - & btw: Clem Burke is still a monster on the entire drumset! 🙇‍♂️ 👏
  11:43pm

Viola? Start with Finzi.

I saw Blondie at the Whisky, '77? '78? Was there when Jenny Lens took the famous photo. I have a framed copy of it.

Kudos - this album is huge!
Finally they got a remastered version out awhile back that sounded acceptable! The 1st edition on Columbia CD was Literally THE worst sounding cd I ever owned!

Ha! Only completely obsessing over all things WFMU since 1981 or so. Only I was in CT (so close to not being able to hear WFMU at all, because of the npr affiliate outta New Haven Ct - mostly classical programming). I usta labor over the directional antenna every few days! Besides obsessive music collecting, also avid film studies person.
Still dabble heavily with the arts 🎭!

Finzi is one of the so-called pastoral composers of England. His work, like Holst's, Vaughan Williams', Delius', and so forth, is quite lovely.
