The first time I saw him I waited for a couple of hours outside the club. I was deemed too old (I was in my late thirties) so they would only let me in at the last minute if it wasn't sold out by then (mind blowing version of Moon River made it worth it)

@Jason: Do you know Leyla McCalla? I once saw her at a free show in my (poorish) neighborhood, a very fun show with kids running around. There was no backstage so I got to chat with her. She grew up in NJ before moving to NOLA, so a fitting connection to this show
