bizarre musical factoid:
Dennis Dragon of the Surf Punks was the brother of Daryl Dragon, the “captain” in the Captain And Tennile! Considerably older than the other New Wavers in LA at the time, Dennis had actually played in bands with his brother and had earlier been part of the whole “mellow”/ Beach Boys scene. The Dragon bros later had a studio in Malibu where they would work together. This is familial relationship was most certainly not anything Surf Punks made known, lest they blow all their punk credibility. (Well, at least i didn't know until years later...)
